Make room
Everything you’re hoping and praying for requires you to make room. The good stuff God wants to give you requires you to open up your hands, your heart, your home, and your life in new and challenging ways.
The beauty of the breaking you’ve experienced is a blessing.
2019 has been generous to me, and I’m exceptionally thankful. Seeds I planted long ago and dreams I thought I couldn’t hold on to anymore are emerging. Every day I think about how relentless God was in breaking down my ideas and pride to make room for His purpose and plans. It wasn’t easy enduring, but it was worth it to experience redemption and healing on the other side.
God is preparing to give you more, too. Make room to receive it.
In honor of making room…I’m so excited to announce that To Be Praised has its FIRST intern!!
For years, God has given me the opportunity to meet women of all ages who have a passion for making IT happen, whatever IT is. To Be Praised’s mission is to inspire, educate, and develop the leadership of women so we can become women of God apt to pursuing our God-given purpose. When I first started this platform, there were no other women in my network I could look to who were writing books, leading ministry, or starting a business, so I created the thing I wanted to see. Now, there are so many women I know and love who are doing just that!
I feel honored to help pave the way for younger women like Carla who want to live their faith and passion out loud. So many times I found myself on the road less traveled, but I stuck with it so others would know which way to go. To Be Praised has so many great things ahead, and I’m excited to have a willing heart to share their talents and passion with us all.
Hey! I’m Carla Romeus, a senior at Brien McMahon High School. I have taken AP (Advanced Placement) and IB (International Baccalaureate) courses throughout high school to prepare me for the academic rigor in college. Through my Freshman through Junior years, I worked in Student Government as a Treasurer. I love to make a difference in my school and the community because I want to be part of a change that positively impacts others.
This is why I am interning at To Be Praised. I know that with Erika’s help we can positively help women in our community to evolve. I’ll be working as a Digital Media and Marketing intern which will help me add to my portfolio. In the Fall, I’ll be a Freshman at Pace University in downtown Manhattan studying Communications. Can’t wait to connect with you ladies! – Carla
