The shift must happen inside of you before it manifests on the outside in the living, breathing world. The shift is like applying slight pressure to reposition you on your heels, and then, suddenly, your whole body adjusts in an uncommanded rhythm.
When your hand swiftly moves in and out of grooves to ensure you move your vehicle forward with stalling or hesitation…
…like the button we press to raise or lower a letter on a keyboard, I wonder if, just maybe, God presses His purpose down, ever so gently, in our hearts to raise our character in Christ and lower our lesser ways.
You shift.
Something happened deep inside of me when I prayed at the beginning of the year. I asked God to show me what I should accomplish, what I do, how I could I turn my theme for the year into behaviors and activities that would please Him and keep me productive.
The answer to that prayer was the word…shift. Inside me, something nudged causing me to shift, ever so slightly, out of old patterns and into a renewed mindset. Things I had tried and failed, I decided to try again. Projects I had been successful with I thought about trying again to attain a greater impact. Where I saw the struggle, old dreams, or wasted effort, I now saw the purpose and potential for progress.
I made the shift and I’m confident the next half of the year will unlock new possibilities for me, To Be Praised, personal relationships, and even in my work. A small shift in the right direction can cause you to see so more than you ever did. If you’re struggling to look ahead of optimism, tilt your head, squint your eyes, and allow your body to shift.
There is more left the year…you may just have to change position in order o attain or become all that you wish to experience. You may have to shift your mind, shift your mindset, or shift your emotions…the shift happens inside of you before it becomes apparent on the outside.

You don’t know how much I needed to read this! I am embarking on a new journey beginning July 1 and it’s totally about shifting from where I was, to where God would have me to be. For 2019, I am in a theme of refinement because I know that because of my experiences from 2017 to 2018 God had to refine me which means going through a process to remove impurities and so this year is dedicated to being brand new, refinished, re-polished, and though I have fallen short a couple of times already this year, it’s time to shift and finish out this REFINEMENT strong. Thanks sis for your dedication and praise God for Holy Spirit confirmation!
